Good to know

• Village Residential (VR) zone: farms including poultry raising are permitted, but not on any lot under 6 acres (§ 200-18A(13)).
• Forest Area and Rural Development zones permit agriculture, with no building sheltering livestock or fowl closer than 100 feet to a lot line.

What about ducks?

Ducks follow the same rule as chickens. In the Village Residential zone, poultry raising needs a lot of at least 6 acres, and in every zone that allows agriculture, shelters for livestock, fowl or other farm animals must be at least 100 feet from all lot lines.
