Predator-proof rabbit hutches and enclosures, built on-site in NJ

Triano Farms builds custom rabbit hutches and enclosures on-site across New Jersey, from spacious walk-in enclosures to mobile tractors you can move around your yard. Every build uses the same predator-proofing as our chicken coops: real lumber, half-inch hardware cloth, and a dig-proof skirt, so your rabbits stay safe from dogs, foxes, hawks, and raccoons.

A predator-proof walk-in enclosure and run built on-site by Triano Farms in New Jersey

Built the way rabbits live

Rabbits need room to move, a dry place out of the weather, and protection that actually holds up. We build enclosures you can walk into and clean without a fight, with layouts that make feeding, watering, and daily care simple, whether you keep rabbits for breeding, meat, or as pets.

  • ½" PVC-coated hardware cloth, not chicken wire
  • 2-foot dig-proof predator skirt around the perimeter
  • Room to move, with easy-clean, easy-access layouts
  • Shade, ventilation, and weather protection built in
  • Walk-in or mobile-tractor options
What we build

Two ways to house your rabbits

Both are custom-built and sized to your setup. Not sure which fits? We'll talk it through.

8′ × 8′ Walk-in Rabbit Enclosure

A spacious, predator-proof walk-in built for easy cleaning, feeding, and daily care. Sturdy wood construction and secure hardware cloth give you protection and peace of mind year-round.

6′ × 8′ Rabbit Tractor

A mobile enclosure with a built-in wheel system — move it around your property to rotate grazing, protect your lawn, and give your rabbits fresh ground whenever they need it. Heavy-duty mesh and a metal roof panel keep them safe and shaded.

Rabbit hutch questions

What is the best size for a rabbit hutch?

It depends on the breed and how many rabbits you keep. As a rule of thumb, a single medium rabbit needs enough room to make three or four hops end to end and to stand fully upright. Our walk-in enclosures give does with litters and small groups far more room than a stacked hutch, and they are much easier to clean.

How do you keep rabbits safe from predators?

The same way we protect a flock of chickens. We use half-inch PVC-coated hardware cloth instead of chicken wire, which stands up to chewing and digging, and we lay a two-foot hardware-cloth skirt at ground level so nothing tunnels underneath. A secure roof keeps hawks and climbing predators out.

Can I move the enclosure around my yard?

Yes. Our rabbit tractor is built on a wheel system so you can rotate it across your property, give the rabbits fresh ground, and spread out the wear on your lawn. If you would rather keep it in one spot, a walk-in enclosure is the way to go.
