Our warranty & what to expect
Every Triano Farms build is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty from the date of installation. If something we built fails because of our workmanship in that first year, we come back and make it right. The components we install, like the metal roof and hardware, also carry their own manufacturer warranties. What the warranty doesn't cover is damage from things outside our work, wildlife, weather, wear, or changes made after we leave, which is standard for any builder.
Workmanship warranty
From the date of installation. If a build fails in the first year because of our workmanship, we come back and make it right, no runaround.
Manufacturer warranties on components
The parts we install, like the 29-gauge metal roof, latches, and an automatic door, carry their own manufacturer warranties, which are often longer than a year.
What the warranty doesn't cover
We warrant our work, not wildlife or weather, the same way any honest builder does. The workmanship warranty doesn't cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Animal damage
- Predator attacks
- Storm damage
- Wind, hail, or flooding
- Other acts of nature
- Customer modifications
- Improper maintenance
This is why we build the way we do. A warranty can't stop a raccoon, so the protection is built in instead: ½" hardware cloth and a dig-proof skirt on every coop, standard.
What to expect on build day
We exercise reasonable care while we work on your property. Because we assemble on-site rather than dropping a finished box, equipment and materials do have to come across your yard, so you may see minor lawn disturbance, tire marks, some soil compaction, or a little landscape disruption near where we build and deliver. We'll walk the access plan with you beforehand and leave things as clean as we can.
Deposits & cancellation
You can cancel any time before construction begins. The deposit is non-refundable, because once you order we buy the materials and reserve production time specifically for your build, so the deposit covers what's already been committed to your project.
Warranty questions
How long is the Triano Farms warranty?
We warrant our workmanship for one year from the date of installation. If a build fails in that first year because of how we built it, we fix it. On top of that, the parts we install, like the metal roof, latches, and an automatic door, carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which is often longer.
Why doesn't the warranty cover predator attacks?
No builder can warrant a coop against a determined bear, a hawk, or a falling tree, and anyone who says otherwise is overpromising. What we can do is build so those things are far less likely. That's exactly why every coop gets half-inch hardware cloth and a two-foot dig-proof skirt as standard, not as an add-on. The warranty covers our workmanship; the construction is what handles the predators.
What isn't covered?
The workmanship warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear, damage from animals or predators, storm, wind, hail, or flood damage and other acts of nature, changes you make to the coop after installation, or problems that come from a coop not being maintained. These are the same sensible exclusions you'll find with any builder.
What happens to my yard during installation?
We treat your property with care, but building on-site means equipment and materials come across your yard. You may see minor lawn disturbance, tire marks, some soil compaction, or a little landscape disruption around where we work and deliver. We do our best to leave it clean, and we'll always talk through the access plan with you first.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can cancel any time before construction begins. The one thing to know is that the deposit is non-refundable, because once you order we buy the materials and reserve production time specifically for your build. So the deposit covers what's already been committed to your project.
This is a plain-language summary. Your written project agreement is the full and controlling document.
