Can you keep chickens in Township of Evesham, NJ?

Good to know

• Only detached single-family, semidetached and two-family properties qualify; townhouses, apartments and multiple dwellings do not.
• The coop and run must be in the rear yard, no more than 100 square feet and no more than 8 feet tall.
• Selling eggs or other chicken byproducts is prohibited, and so is slaughtering on the property.
• Homeowners association rules can block a license even where the township would allow it.

What about ducks?

Unclear. Evesham's license program covers chickens (hens) only and does not mention ducks. Ask the Township Clerk before getting ducks.
