Can you keep chickens in City of Woodbury, NJ?

- Open to residents of single-family, twin and row homes; tenants need the landlord's consent.
- Applicants must take a class approved by the Chicken Advisory Board and show proof with the application.
- The coop needs at least three square feet per bird, a predator-proof run and a six-foot fence around it.
- Chickens must stay in the rear yard, and no chicken may be slaughtered in the city.
What about ducks?
No. Woodbury bans keeping livestock or fowl in the city, and the only bird exception is for licensed backyard chicken hens, so ducks are not allowed.
