Does my yard need to be level for a coop?
A level base is key. Site prep can be done by us or by the homeowner. We handle the easier jobs ourselves, and for bigger areas that need grading or clearing we bring in a local site-prep contractor.
On mildly uneven ground we usually just add blocks to reach grade. Setting a coop on blocks does not weaken its security, because the predator skirt still covers the perimeter. Sloped and wooded lots are workable because we assemble from sections on-site rather than dropping one finished box.
