How we build

Built in our shop, assembled in your yard, even fenced or tight-access

We build about 80% of every coop and shed in our New Jersey shop, then bring the pieces to your property and assemble them like a modular home, usually in a day or two. Because it goes together from sections on-site instead of arriving as one finished box on a truck, we can build in fenced yards, tight side-yard access, and sloped or hard-to-reach lots that a delivered pre-built structure could never fit.

Why assembled-on-site beats a delivered box

A fully pre-built coop or shed has to be trucked in and craned or rolled to its spot as one finished piece. That rules out a lot of real backyards: fenced ones, ones with a narrow side yard, ones on a slope, ones where a truck would tear up the lawn. We work differently. We build about 80% in our shop, then, like a modular home, deliver the sections and assemble them where the coop is going to stand, so tight access and fences stop being a problem.

It also means the build still fits your site exactly. We set it level to grade and work around trees, slopes, and existing structures instead of forcing a delivered box to fit. You get shop-quality construction and a build that actually fits your yard.

Access questions

Can you build a shed or coop if I have a fenced yard?

Yes. Because we assemble from pre-built sections rather than delivering one finished structure, we can bring the pieces through a standard gate and put the coop together inside a fenced yard. A whole pre-built shed on a truck usually can't get back there.

Do you need truck access to where the coop or shed goes?

Not to the exact spot. We deliver the sections and carry them to where the coop or shed will sit, then assemble in place. We don't need to roll a fully finished structure across your yard to its final location.

Will a delivery truck drive across my lawn?

No. We bring the pieces in and assemble on the pad, so there's no oversized pre-built structure to drag across the grass and rut it.

What if my lot is on a slope or hard to access?

Assembling on-site handles difficult lots well. We level to grade with blocks, and if a site needs real grading or clearing first, we work with local contractors who can handle it.
