Can you keep chickens in City of Vineland, NJ?

• The zoning definition of farm covers a parcel used for keeping poultry for sale, lease or personal use, with no acreage floor.
• R-3 lists farm as a permitted use and a farm building for livestock as an accessory use.
• R-1 and R-2 permitted use lists have no farm, and their accessory uses are limited to garages, sheds, recreation, fencing and signs.
• Animal or poultry slaughtering is a prohibited use in the residential zones.

What about ducks?

Probably treated like chickens, since Vineland allows farms that raise poultry in the R-3 through R-6 and agricultural zones, but the code never defines poultry or mentions ducks. Confirm with the city.
